Being an immigrant from Seoul and having lived in New York, Virginia, and now LA, a simple question like "Where are you from?" isn't such a simple question to answer. Growing up I often felt conflicted in answering those type of questions, and returning a simple answer was not possible - it didn't tell the full story. Many times I felt like there wasn't a place that I can truly call home. But not with a negative connotation attached to it, it was an understanding I learned to embrace quickly and I learned to enjoy the ride. To me, there really isn't a place like home.
